PD: Killingworth Burglary Alert on N. Roast Meat Hill Road

The Killingworth resident trooper has issued a residential burglary alert and is asking residents to be vigilant and report any suspicious people in the area.

 

At about 1 p.m. on Wednesday, a homeowner on N. Roast Meat Hill Rd., in the area of Mill Farms, woke up to someone in their house and called the police. The burglar, according to Killingworth Resident Trooper, Tfc. Matthew Ward, fled on foot. A search dog was unable to track the suspect and a neighborhood search was also unsuccessful.

The suspect is described as a white male wearing a dark colored baseball cap and dark clothing.

No injuries were reported by the homeowner and nothing was reported stolen. Entry to the home was reportedly gained through an unlocked exterior door and no vehicles were observed in the driveway or in the area at the time of the robbery.

Tfc. Ward is asking residents to “please continue to be vigilant in your neighborhoods and report any suspicious people in the area.”

"The suspect from the burglaries on River Road, Granite Hill and Spencer Hill is currently incarcerated so this is someone new," Ward stated.
