Haddam and East Haddam Residents Left in the Dark on Halloween

As of Monday morning, many residents across the state of Connecticut are still without power in the wake of a freak October snowstorm.

Thousands of residents in Haddam and East Haddam are left in the dark on Halloween in the wake of an un-seasonable snowstorm that dumped inches to a few feet of heavy, wet snow across New England. As of 8:30 a.m., 33% of Haddam residents and 24% of East Haddam residents are still without power.

The widespread power outages come just two months after more than 800,000 state residents lost power during Tropical Storm Irene. It took more than a week for power to be restored to the entire state.

In a press conference over the weekend, Malloy said he did not know how long restoration efforts could take this time around.
