As of Saturday morning, only about 80 people remained without power following Hurricane Sandy, according to Craig Mansfield of East Haddam Emergency Management.
Crews are currently working to get those remaining homes without power restored.
The shelter that was openned last night at the East Haddam Senior Center has been closed as of 9 a.m. and no residents were reported as having used it Friday night.
Showers were available at the high school until 9 a.m.
