1. Weather: For today, mostly sunny with a high near 86. Tonight, low about 58.

2. Take a Cruise with the Kids: Connecticut River Expeditions is pleased to announce that its eco-tour vessel, RiverQuest, will offer this season. On this one hour cruise, the ticket price for kids aged 2 thru 12 will be only $5 per ticket, ages 13 thru 100 only $15 per ticket.

4. Full of Ourselves: Help your daughter gain the confidence she needs as she enters the waters of middle school.  that develops and encourages leadership, confidence & self-esteem through games, discussion and activities.

The group is designed for girls making the transition into 6th grade.

5. Gardening Tip of the Day: Got slugs? Put out shallow dishes of beer. Slugs will be attracted to the beer and drown themselves. What a way to go!

You can also handpick them off your plants and deter the slimy guys with eggshells and other sharp objects around the base of your plants.
