4. Lonely George: 100 year-old tortoise dies. The only remaining Pinta Island tortoise passed away on Sunday, according to the Galapagos National Park Service. Read more about this celebrated tortoise

5. Monday: The word for Monday is derived from the word monandaeg, an ancient Anglo-Saxon/Germanic word meaning moon. Since the sun is honored on Sunday, logic would have it that the moon should be honored as well.
