1. Weather: For today, mostly sunny with a high near 72. Get out and enjoy the sunshine! Tonight, a chance of rain, mainly after 4 a.m. Mostly cloudy with a low around 50. 

2. Academic Award Recipients: A Patch Shout Out to Sandra Soby from Higganum, Peter Woolard from Haddam and Jamie Novik from Moodus who have been selected as Academic Award recipients from Middlesex Community College. Soby earned the Business Administration Award, Woolard earned the Social Science Division Award and Jamie Novik received the Graphic Design Award. .

3. Free Lights: Want some of your lightbulbs replaced with more energey efficient ones?  Neighbor to Neighbor is an innovative, community-based program funded by a grant from the Department of Energy to encourage residents to take measures to reduce energy waste in their own homes.

4. Photo of Mom Contest: We don't have a submission from the Haddams YET, but we do have an East Haddam mom featured in a submission from a Middletown Patch reader so we're getting closer.
