Christmas Comes to Parmelee Farm

Killingworth’s annual holiday celebration takes place on Saturday, December 8.

Get in the holiday spirit with Christmas at the Farm, an annual celebration brought to you by the Killingworth Chamber of Commerce, the Killingworth Lions Club and TD Bank.

The free festivities take place at Parmelee Farm, Route 81 in Killingworth, from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2012.

Enjoy horse-drawn carriage rides, storytelling with Santa, crafts, hot chocolate and cider.

You can also get some holiday shopping done inside warmed tents featuring wares from local businesses. Vendors will offer crafts, gift certificates, food, and other gift items and services, including home-improvement and end-of-year planning advice.

The highlight of the gathering is the lighting of the Christmas tree and sing-a-long caroling with local children’s choirs on the front lawn at 4:30 p.m.

Parking is available at the nearby Haddam-Killingworth Middle School. A trail leads from the parking area to the farm.

For more information, please visit the Killingworth Chamber.
