Police Blotter: Reckless Driving, Passing Counterfeit Money, Stolen Batteries, Burglary, Larceny, Disorderly Conduct, DUI, Interfering with an Emergency Call, Littering and Resisting Arrest through 5-9-14



The East Haddam Police and the Connecticut State Police, Troop K in Colchester report the following incidents:

LARCENY FROM A CONSTRUCTION SITE - On April 28, East Haddam Police received a report that (4) 12-volt batteries were stolen from a construction site on Lake Shore Drive in the area of the tennis courts, in the Lake Hayward section of East Haddam. The incident is under investigation, and anyone who may have possible information about this incident is asked to contact Corporal Karl Karabeinikoff at the East Haddam Resident Troopers' Office, at 860-873-1226. If you would prefer to remain anonymous, you may leave a voice-mail on the (confidential) Crime Tip Line at 860-873-5013.

COUNTERFEIT MONEY - On April 28, a business on Town Street in East Haddam reported that counterfeit cash had been passed to them, in the form of several twenty dollar bills. The case remains under investigation.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL AND/OR DRUGS, IMPROPER PARKING, OPERATING AN UNREGISTERED MOTOR-VEHICLE, INTERFERING WITH POLICE/RESISTING ARREST AND LITTERING - On April 30 at approximately 12:33 a.m., Linda Pent, 29, of Saybrook Road, Haddam was arrested and charged with the above violations, after police were called to the area of Route 149 and Wigwam Road in Moodus to investigate a suspicious incident. Pent was released on a $1,500 bond and given a court date of 5/13/14at Middletown Superior Court.

LARCENY - On May 3 at approximately 4:52 p.m., George Lombra, Jr., 54, of Broad Street, Meriden was arrested and charged with 3rd-degree larceny. Lombra was unable to post a $7,500 bond and was held pending a court date of 5/5/14 at Middletown Superior Court.

FAILURE TO ILLUMINATE A LICENSE PLATE, POSSESSION OF NARCOTICS, POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA, POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA AND INTERFERING WITH POLICE - On May 3 at approximately 9:00 p.m., Colchester Police initiated a motor-vehicle stop on Lake Hayward Road. After a subsequent investigation, Hayden Cavallari, 18, of Longwood Drive, Colchester was arrested and charged with the above violations. Cavallari was released on a $5,500 bond and scheduled to appear at Norwich Superior Court on 5/15/14.
