Lycott Environmental, Inc. will be starting work on weed removal for the Moodus Reservoir Tuesday morning, and will be out on the lake for the next week or so.

'Hydro-Raking' is a chemical-free option for the removal and control of nuisance aquatic vegetation.

If you live on the Moodus Reservoir, did you sign up to have your shoreline hydro-raked?

Hydro raking is like reseeding, once the stem is cut, sheared off or broken all the seeds fall out, this may look like a long term fix in the short run but its really making it worse, phoenixbarge@sbcglobal.net has a weed air extractor and dryer invention that extracts the whole root with unbroken stems that's awaiting funding.

Hi Malcolm...we've not heard of a "weed air extractor" as of yet, and it sounds interesting. Is there by chance a website where we could view photos and more information about it? Thanks for your help...much appreciated! ;-)
