Keep the Light Shining at Ray of Light Farm
Join the Ray of Light Farm this Saturday, August 3, for their biggest fundraiser yet. The scheduled Wine Tasting event will feature food and drinks, live music by Jae Wolf, Dancing, Silent Auction, Farm Tour and several guests of honor.
Ray of Light Farm, Inc., a non-profit animal rescue and animal-assisted therapy center, is holding their largest fundraising effort to date this Saturday, August 3: a wine tasting and hors d'oeuvres event.
According to their announcement on Patch, "this wine-tasting event is part of their fundraising campaign, "Keep the Light Shining", to raise the $1.5 million dollars necessary for realty and endowment in order to remain in their current location." This year, the farm is facing their most challenging year yet. They posted this message on their Facebook page at the start of this year.
To work towards this goal, the Farm has an amazing event planned that will take place at their location from 5-8 PM. The event will feature:
- Wine tasting provided by Tony's Package Store of Haddam.
- Cheese donated by Fromage of Old Saybrook
- Breads donated by Farm to Hearth
- Hors d'oeuvres and other drinks available
- Live music by Jae Wolf
- Dancing
- Silent Auction
- Farm Tour

Ray of Light Farm rescues and cares for neglected, injured or abused large animals and also facilitate adoption and placement of rescue animals. They also pair animals with children and adults in ways that improve the physical and emotional well being of horse and humans.
