When is the First Day Of School for Haddam and Killingworth?

The start of school is fast approaching for Regional School District 17!

School for Regional School District No. 17 will begin Wednesday, August 28 which includes the following schools:

  • Haddam-Killingworth High School
  • Haddam-Killingworth Middle School
  • Burr Elementary
  • Haddam Elementary
  • Killingworth Elementary
According to the school calendar for the District, kids will get a break soon after they return to school. Currently, the District will be closed for the Labor Day Holiday on Monday, September 2 and again for Rosh Hashanah on Thursday, September 5. 

To make sure you are ON TIME for the first day back, here are the start times for each school:

Haddam-Killingworth High School:
Regular Day: Start time: 7:25 a.m. End time: 2:10 p.m.

Haddam-Killingworth Middle School
Regular Day: Start time: 8:05 a.m. End time: 2:50 p.m.

Elementary Schools: Haddam, Killingworth, Burr
Regular Day: Grades K-4: Start time: 8:40 a.m. End time: 3:25 p.m.
Regular Day: AM Preschool and ½ time Kindergarten: Start time: 8:40 a.m. End time: 11:50 a.m.
Regular Day: PM Preschool: Start time: 11:55 a.m. End time: 3:25 p.m.
