In honor of Thanksgiving, the East Haddam Free Public Library is showing a real turkey of a movie.
At 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 15, the library will screen Plan 9 from Outer Space, winner of not one but two Golden Turkey Awards, for Worst Picture and Worst Director of All Time.
According to the official product description, Plan 9 has it all: not-so-special effects, aliens in skating skirts, string-powered flying saucers, and even zombies and vampires. This movie is “a hymn to all those who have ever tried to create something intelligent and meaningful, only to fail miserably every step of the way."
The library hosts Terrible Thursdays on the fourth Thursday of every month at 6:30 featuring the best of the worst films ever made.
