Two Fabulous Local Women, One Opening Reception

Anita Sherman and Barbara Gilmour Stone will be honored at the East Haddam Historical Society and Museum on June 22, 2012.

 

Anita Sherman (1933-2011), East Haddam Archaeologist: This display, scheduled for this summer season only, honors local vocational archaeologist Anita Sherman's excavations of the Major General Joseph Spencer's Homestead site on Tater Hill Road, just off Millington Green. will celebrate Anita's life on Friday, June 22 at 6 p.m. with an Opening and Reception.

Barbara Gilmour Stone (1928-1995), East Haddam Artist: On display at the museum is an extensive portfolio of the variety of work, paintings, sculpture, photographs and whimsies done during Barbara's lifetime. The museum will celebrate Barbara's life at an Opening and Reception on Friday, June 22, 6-9 p.m.
