Sharknado To Drop Down In Nearby Theater Friday Night

Sharknado, the uproariously outrageous Syfy channel movie about a shark-infested tornado wreaking havoc on Los Angeles, will be playing once and once only at Branford's Regal Cinemas this weekend.

Late Friday night, or more accurately on Saturday morning at 12 a.m., the movie will play in movie theaters across the country for a one-time showing. Regal Cinemas Branford Stadium 12 is just one of three movie theaters in the state to be part of that showing, with the other two in Waterbury and Stonington,according to examiner.com.

Sharknado became a Twitter sensation when in debuted on July 11 on the Scfy channel for having such an outlandish plot and for its poor production value. The movie stars onetime A-list actress Tara Reid.
