Art Show Reception at the Rathburn Library on Thursday

Two East Haddam artists join together to create a singular art show highlighting their two distinct visions of the world.

A reception is planned for Thursday, January 26th (snow date: Feb. 9th) from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., to celebrate the artistic visions of artists Will Brady and Jim Riccio. Many works are on display at the library and are available for sale. A brochure and price list is available at the library.

Riccio and Brady openned the art exhibit in the Main Room of the Library on January 18th, with works that highlight their aesthetic vision of the world around them.

Jim Riccio is an East Haddam resident, a graduate of Roger Williams University and a member of the Lyme Art Association. His watercolors reflect his affinity for nature and its subtle beauty, using light to create a mood and a sense of place.

Will Brady delights in creating collage, working with discarded utilitarian materials and giving them new life in his finished pieces. Brady is a member of the Art League of New Britain, the International Society of Assemblage and Collage Artists, and is a resident of East Haddam.
