Multi-Artist Exhibit Opens in Old Bank Building Featuring Pierre Sylvain

At 66 Main Marketplace in the East Hampton village center, Middletown and area artists have gathered their paintings, photographs, watercolors, prints and more for the show's reception Friday evening.

In the midst of a gray winter cold, one painter whose colorful works bring to mind the warmth of Haiti is crossing the river with a dozen artists for a gallery show in an old bank building.

An eclectic artists marketplace one Friday a month fills the old East Hampton Bank and Trust Co. at 66 Main Street and this weekend marks the All Arts Night reception with featured artist Pierre Sylvain.

The Middletown-based artist's painted 55-gallon oil drums turned recycling receptacles line Main Street and his exhibits have graced Wesleyan University's Zilka Gallery and the former R.W. Camp building along with Common Councilman and photographer David Bauer.
