Judges Confirmed for East Haddam's Funniest Person Contest

Nathan Hale-Ray High School's Tri-M Honor Society is having auditions on Friday for their upcoming comedy contest to find out who our most hilarious resident is.

 

Community member Mrs. Shea Jezek, First Selectman Mark Walter and NHRHS Principal Eric Spencer will be the official judges for the Funniest Person in East Haddam contest.

If you think you are the funniest person in East Haddam, come and audition on Friday January 6th at 7pm. Auditions will be held in the Nathan Hale Ray High School auditorium.

 The requirements for auditioning are:
 1. Pay a $10.00 registration fee to audition.
 2. Comedy material must be appropriate for ALL ages.
 3. Your audition needs be 3 to 5 minutes long.
 4. Auditions will be closed to the public.
 5. If you would like, you may bring one person into your audition for support.
 6. Be at the high school at 6:30 pm on January 6th to register.
 7. Comedians of all ages are welcome.
 8. Judges decisions for who will compete are final.

Based on the audition performances, five to eight comedians will be chosen to compete in the Funniest Person in East Haddam Contest that will be held on January 28th at 7:00 pm in Friedman Auditorium at Nathan Hale-Ray High School. Each comedian selected for the competition will be expected to perform 10 to 15 minutes of comedy material. The winner and first runner up will be determined by the audience on the 28th and awarded trophies.
