According to a news release from the Goodspeed, the number of households served by the East Haddam Food Bank has grown to record levels this year. The Goodspeed hopes to have another record-breaking year for its food drive to help all those families.
“This holiday season the Goodspeed family acknowledges the tremendous need right here in our community,” explains Goodspeed Executive Director Michael P. Price. “We encourage all of our visitors to participate in this wonderful opportunity to share with our neighbors in the spirit of giving.”
The food bank is especially in need of items such as soups, pastas, canned fruits and vegetables, cereals, paper goods, and toiletries.
Although the BOGO ticket special takes place only on November 19th, food donations will be accepted at performances throughout Thanksgiving week at both locations: Friday, November 23, at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.; Saturday, November 24, at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m.; and Sunday, November 25, at 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
