Swing Bridge Arts Alliance presents: "Bye Bye Birdie"

"Bye Bye Birdie" is the ultimate feel good family musical, revolving around rock 'n' roll superstar Conrad Birdie (loosely based on Elvis Presley), who, to the dismay of his adoring fans, is about to be drafted into the Army. Hilarious complications ensue when his agent cooks up one last publicity stunt that will bring him to Sweet Apple Ohio to give a good-by kiss to one lucky girl on the "Ed Sullivan Show".

"Bye Bye Birdie" stars a wonderfully talented cast from towns all over Connecticut, including East Haddam native Katie Armstrong as Kim Macafee along with Kevin Ladd as "Albert", Allison Mohler as "Rose", Charles Della Rocco as "Conrad Birdie", Daniel Carroll as "Hugo", Rachel Perlin as "Mrs. Macafee", Ed Hobson as "Mr. Macafee", Mason Cordeiro as "Randolph Macafee", Valerie Bozzi as "Mae Peterson". The show also features Moodus residents Charles Dickinson, Sara Dickinson and Taylor Tanguay, as well as Killingworth natives Alix Jansma and Henry Tobelman, just to name a few.

With a featured cast from East Hampton, Manchester, Portland, Colchester, Old Saybrook, Lisbon, Guilford, Canton and even Rhode Island, this talented group of actors is sure to entertain an audience of all ages.
