Naugatuck Valley College Choir Performing in Higganum

Higganum Congregational Church hosts the Naugatuck Valley College Choir, conducted by Dr. Richard Gard of Yale School of Music and St. Thomas More Chapel at Yale.  The ensemble will sing Gabriel Fauré's iconic Requiem (op. 48) and Cantique de Jean Racine (op. 11).  In addition, the chorus will perform Handel's  coronation anthem "Zadok the Priest" (a setting in use at every British royal coronation since George II in 1727), "Pseudo-Yoik" by Jääkko Mantyjarvi and the world premiere of Brian Parks's "Permutation on Laudate Dominum." With accompaniment by organist Brian Parks and harpist Colleen Thorburn.

 Child Care Provided

Tickets: $15.00, $10.00 for seniors, students, and children; available at the door or at church on Sunday mornings (9am-noon). All proceeds to benefit the Higganum Congregational Church and it's Music Programming.
