For more than 12 years Henry Zecher's William Gillette slide program has been a major hit in the Sherlockian world. Many have proclaimed it the best presentation ever given at a Sherlockian event.
Now, however, he has a book to go with it, and those who saw the slide program but saw no book for sale were extremely disappointed.
No longer.
With the book out, however, he has trimmed the slide show back to less than 30 minutes. It is now more of a teaser than a biographical treatment. The biographical treatment is in the biography.

Signing at Castle
Zecher will be performing his William Gillette slide program in the Visitors Center at Gillette Castle on Sunday, May 29, between 1:30 and 4 pm.
He will, of course, be around all day, along with Gillette impersona- tors Tyke and Teddie Niver.
On Monday, May 30, he will be at the East Haddam Museum on Town Street in East Haddam, near the castle, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

To Mark Twain House
The performance and book-signing will be repeated at the Harriet Beecher Stowe Center in Hartford, Connecticut, on Wednesday, June 1.
The slideshow and book signing will begin at 5:30 pm, after which a local acting troupe will do a reading of Gillette’s script for Sherlock Holmes.
