Killingworth Community Gardens Registration Coming Soon

Spring means gardening and for many residents, it means signing up for another successful season of working the soil at the community garden.

Spring is just around the corner (March 20) and that means gardeners all over town are itching to get planting.

Once again, the Killingworth Community Gardens, located at Parmelee Farm on Route 81, will open its fields for individuals or community groups to garden. The program is celebrating its sixth year.

The rules are pretty simple: the 20' x 20' plots are available, for a fee, on a first-come, first-served basis and are open first to Killingworth residents. (Returning gardeners in good standing are given plot preference.) There's a limit of two plots per family until June 1. After that time, any remaining plots may be assigned.

You must work your plot of land or it may be reassigned to another person after June 15. Fees are non-refundable.
