Last Chance: Purchase Haddam-Killingworth Hall of Fame Dinner Tickets

Tickets must be purchased no later than April 26th. No tickets will be sold at the door.

 

Tickets are available in Haddam at the RSD17 Central Office, Haddam-Killingworth High School, Haddam Elementary School and the HK Recreation Department. In Killingworth, tickets may be purchased at Haddam-Killingworth Middle School and at Killingworth Elementary School. Tickets may also be purchased by phone at 860-345-4534, or by e-mail at HKHall@rsd17.org

The Haddam-Killingworth Hall of Fame was established in 2009 to honor those individuals who have shown exemplary commitment to the service of children or have demonstrated an outstanding record of service to the Haddam and/or Killingworth communities. The 2012 honorees will be inducted at a dinner to be held on Thursday, May 3rd, at The Riverhouse in Haddam at 6 p.m. Tickets are $35 for the dinner; a cash bar will be available and some silent auction items will be for sale, cash or check only.

Marsha Brielmann has run the Haddam Cooperative Nursery School since 1976. She has been actively involved in the Haddam Junior Women’s Club and with Easter Seals, among many other organizations.

Shelly Cumpstone has served in a wide variety of posts in Killingworth, among them the Killingworth PTO, the Killingworth Library and the Parks and Recreation Commission. She has also been an active member of the Haddam-Killingworth Soccer Club.

Frank Cunningham has been a teacher, coach and volunteer in the Haddam and Killingworth communities for more than 35 years. His service to students includes organizing and coaching Killingworth Girls Softball and coaching HK Parks and Recreation Girls Basketball. He has also served on the Killingworth Board of Selectmen and Board of Finance.

Susan Dean spent more than 40 years as a teacher in the Haddam-Killingworth school system, including 22 years as a kindergarten teacher at Haddam Elementary School and 21 years as a Grade 2 teacher at Killingworth Elementary. She currently serves on the Regional School District 17 Board of Education.

Tim Gannon began teaching in the early 1980’s at Haddam-Killingworth High School, where he taught photography and industrial arts and served as a mentor to many students. In addition to his dedication to education, he has also been actively involved in the Parmelee Farm Steering Committee in Killingworth, helping to turn the 131 acre site and its 19th century farmhouse into a valuable community resource.
