Get Organized This Spring

Professional organizer Eva Counter will be at the Brainerd Memorial Library in Haddam on Thursday.

After a long winter, spring has finally arrived in Connecticut and we are happy to be shedding the excess weight of winter coats, hats and gloves. The winter season may have buried us under mounds of snow, but what went on in the home during hibernation? Are you buried under mounds of clutter?

Professional Organizer, Eva Counter, will be on hand at the Brainerd Memorial Library in Haddam on Thursday, April 28th to answer questions and share her tips on getting organized.

A busy mom herself, Counter realized a little over four years ago that she could make a career out of her passion.

  • You can’t organize clutter, so get rid of it.
  • Find a charity you like and donate the excess. Some will even pick up.
  • It’s not about how pretty the container is, it’s about the amount of stuff you have that keeps you better organized.
  • There is no perfect house or solution to organizing. It’s about doing the best you can with what you have.

Counter specializes in tailoring solutions specifically to each client. Her event at Brainerd will include a short informational speech on organizing followed by a question and answer session with the audience. To register, call the library at 860-345-2204.

Brainerd Memorial Library is located at 920 Saybrook Road in Haddam.
