Downed East Haddam Tree Responsible for Early Morning Power Outage

About 26 customers in the Clark Hill Road Area lost power for several hours early Monday morning.

Early Monday morning, August 26, a power outage occurred on Clark Hill Road in East Haddam. According to Mitch Gross of Connecticut Light & Power/Yankee Gas, the cause of the outage was a tree that came down on a line and also damaged some equipment.

Gross stated that about 26 customers in the area were without power from 4:15 AM and 7:30 AM. Power is now restored to the area.
