CPPL Invites You To 'Celebrate Your Land' On Saturday

Citizens for Protection of Public Lands will host a picnic and information session to offer details on their efforts

Pack a picnic basket and head on down to on Saturday!

Citizens for Protection of Public Lands has announced that they'll be holding a free event called "Celebrate Your Land" to spread the word about their recent efforts.

According to the event flyer, the picnic will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and attendees will learn about ongoing protection projects from both CPPL members and Rep. Phil Miller.

Those interested in attending are welcome to bring their own picnic, but the CPPL will provide hot dogs, salad, dessert and drinks.

For more information, contact Rob Smith at (860) 873-2189.

What a generous thing to do! CPPL has worked very hard to protect our land, and now they are inviting everyone to a picnic--this couldn't be more appropriate! Everyone should go and celebrate with each other. Public voices can be heard. Let's hope that CPPL will continue to work with the government in a non-partisan way to prevent travesties such as the Haddam land swap from happening. Politicians who have been in power too long should fold their tents and find something else to corrupt, but they shouldn't think about putting their tents on OUR land.

The turn out was great! Many thanks to everyone that helped through donations of food, time, and talent, especially to Andy Buzzy for his great musical performance. The best part of this entire process was meeting so many nice people!
