The main purposes of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution are historical preservation, education, and patriotism. Jordan Freeman, born October 30, 1732 lost his life at the Battle of Fort Griswold, defending his first Master, then friend Colonel Ledgyard. Freeman’s selfless acts inspire The Old Saybrook D.A.R. to be more charitable and giving by engaging more in our communities and helping others. Come learn more about this wonderful local hero.
