Student Art Show at the East Haddam Free Public Library

We are happy to present the first of what will be a series of art shows featuring works created by East Haddam's talented students. This month, the High School Foundation in Drawing Students have their works on display. The works are inspired by artist Wayne Thiebaud, who is famous for his pastels of bakery sweets. Each student chose a photo of a favorite food and used it as the model for creating a  soft pastel drawing. The drawings are beautiful, and they will be on display in the downstairs area of the library from March 1st-28th. There will be a reception for the artists some time this month, to which the public is invited. The date is yet to be determined, so please check the library's blog often for updates,     or call 860-873-8248.

In upcoming months we plan to show works by the middle and elementary school students.

We look forward to seeing you soon at the East Haddam Free Public Library in Moodus.
