Prime Farmland Plots for Lease in East Haddam

The town is offering garden plots for lease at 218 Mt. Parnassus Road, open space previously owned by the Harris family.

The Town of East Haddam is offering garden plots for lease to farms, businesses, individuals, or groups at 218 Mt. Parnassus Road, the site of town-owned Open Space previously owned by the Harris family.  

Leaseholders will agree to follow the ecologically sound and sustainable practices outlined in the CT Chapter of the Northeast Organic Farming Association Farmer’s Pledge.  

This year, the expected start to the growing season will be June 1st.  Standard plots of 33’x33’ are available for $65 per year.

Up to 10 plots (approx. ¼ acre) may be leased per farmer or group. Smaller plots are also available. 

 The lease application will be available in mid-May. Plot location and quantity are based on a first come, first serve paid application.
