East Haddam CERT Training Class

East Haddam Emergency Management will sponsor a Citizens Emergency Response Training (CERT) class in June of 2014.

Dates and Times of the Training are as follows:

Thurs., June 5th: 6-9 PM -Fri., June 6th: 6-10 PM
Thurs., June 12th: 6-9 PM- Fri., June 13th: 6-10 PM
Sat., June 28th: 9-3 PM

This is a great opportunity for residents to become prepared for all kind of emergency situations and learn how they can assist friends, neighbors and the community during times of need.   

Many topics are covered during the classes as well you will learn basic first aid and CPR, fire suppression skills, as well as safe techniques for searching damaged structures.

All training will take place at the East Haddam Firehouse and there is NO COST to anyone that takes this training.  This training is for people of all ages and ability

We will be serving light refreshments for the evening classes and breakfast / lunch will be served for the Saturday class.

People completing the training will receive their own backpack containing supplies and equipment needed when responding to calls for assistance.
