Free Tax Preparation for Killingworth Seniors

A program sponsored by AARP is available locally until April 9.

 

If you are a senior citizen and live in Killingworth, you can have your taxes prepared for free by qualified professionals and you don't have to drive out of town to do it.

The program is sponsored by Tax-Aide, a service of AARP who will be at this tax season.

There are limited hours of appointments only on Tuesdays from 9am to noon, starting March 26 and ending April 9.

The service is geared towards taxpayers of low to moderate income levels without complicated tax filings.

You must first register for an appointment by calling the Estuary Senior Center in Old Saybrook at 860-388-1611. They are open Mon-Fri from 9am and 2pm and 9am to noon on Saturdays. Walk-in appointments for the tax service are not available.

When you have a date and time of your appointment, please remember to bring all of your 2012 tax documents and your 2011 tax returns (both state and federal), and your identification to your appointment at the church.
